“Patience is a kind of love. A love that is it’s own explanation in bewildered circumstance. It is an old, old woman placing a wrinkled-parchment hand against the cheek of a reckless child. Because her heart is too wise to make room for reproach. Too full to find place for offense.”

Jesus is calling out to His sleeping beauties, by Nicole

My flesh screams out. It whines and it whimpers at the thought

of what it cannot have, of what is not good for the soul. I adore the beauty. The glimmer and the glamour of the world awakens a desire. Sometimes my thoughts are drawn away from the security and the love of Jesus to the sparkling world and I wish that I could go out and bask in it. Partying, flirting, flaunting, touching, dancing, drinking, doing whatever desires spring forth in that very moment, without the harmful effects forced upon my soul, without the sadness that is deep within me at the thought of what that felt like. The seeming beauty, the makeup, the hair, the outfits, the shoes, the dancing, the skin, the words. They attempt to captivate me and lure me in to touch them with just a prick of my finger. Then it puts me to sleep, deafening my ears to what Jesus has for me. Freedom. Truth. Beauty. Everlasting Love. That is what our hearts simply desire when you bring it down to the bare essentials.

I want to scream out a resounding NO to the world and the false

beauty and power in it as it pulls at me, threatening to RIP me APART. Asking for this fragile heart God put within my body that only He can care for and then tearing it to PIECES and throwing it back at me when I desperately give in. The evil world laughing in my face because it thinks it has conquered me. It thinks it has permanent power over me, demanding that I lure others into its soul-killing seduction. Feeding my anger from the sin and lies that try to kill my hopeful heart and soul with the very sin it produced. I almost give in. My grasping for any sort of love has turned into deep desperation. It has almost deadened me to everything. Thinking who has the strength for any of this? Who can keep going on this way? Who can feel such deep violent heart-stabbing pain and not want to inflict that pain on those who cause it? Shouldn’t they feel the way I feel? If they don’t want to care about my soul and not cause it, don’t they deserve to go through the same?

Who can save me from this destruction that even I inflict upon

myself? At times I have given in to all those thoughts. I have lied in bed believing the lies of the evil one. Waiting for someone to come and rescue me. Wondering if anyone cares enough to love me in a way that no one ever has. Watching the days pass by wishing they would end forever. Then I feel someone speak to me. Speak to me in a way that no one ever has. He is loving and sweet and confident and bold and strong! He wants me! He speaks words to me that I want to be true but scared that they will be lies like everything else in my life. Then I SEE the truth of what He has spoken. He has NEVER lied to me. He always speaks LOVING words to me and infuses LIFE into my heart and mind and soul. I can LIVE for real now. I can LIVE like never before because I know that HE is TRUTH. JESUS is the only TRUTH and complete LOVE I’ve ever known. And that is the way it’s meant to be. When we love Him more than anything else and cherish that above all else, we can truly LIVE and LIVE FOREVER. The FIGHT is worth it!!!

GOD can HEAL your broken heart! He is healing mine. He doesn’t

have to have all the pieces, those that have been stolen or thrown away, those that are now only slivers that are barely found. He makes your heart new! He creates new pieces, reforms the ones that don’t fit together and seals up the cracks and broken parts. He covers your heart with His never ending Love. He will do whatever it takes to heal you! Even if that means allowing your heart to be broken first. He loves you with a love that you will never get from any other person only because we are incapable of loving the way He does and to the full amazing extent that He loves.

  • We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
  • The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
  • He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
    Psalm 147:3
  • The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17
  • For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal. Job 5:18
